Free Mountain: Free Summits in Gerlos
Enjoy complimentary travel on the cable cars in Gerlos and Königsleiten all summer long. As our guest, you can use the Isskogelbahn in Gerlos and the Dorfbahn in Königsleiten to explore the stunning mountain scenery for free during operating hours. Bike transport is also possible.

Durlassboden Reservoir
Clear, fresh spring water surrounded by mountains: It’s no wonder that the Durlassboden reservoir is one of the region’s most Insta-worthy photo spots. Take a dip in the cool water and enjoy a huge range of water sports and water-based recreation, such as boating, surfing and stand-up paddle boarding. If you enjoy hiking, explore the loop trail with opportunities for refreshments along the way.

Latschenland Gerlos
Sitting on the Isskogel at an elevation of 1950 metres, the Latschenland offers fun and action for children of all ages. Explore the huge play area, the adventure climbing route, the small lake and much more. In addition, there is an animal enclosure where children can get up close to rabbits, chickens, goats and calves.

During the summer, there is plenty more to discover in our surroundings. The Zillertal High Road, one of the most scenic Alpine roads in Austria, affords breathtaking views. The Gerlosstein adventure mountain offers a themed trail where you can learn about the region’s history and culture, as well as a petting zoo, alpine playground and zipline.
Experience the Arena Coaster in Zell am Ziller, an exhilarating ride where the elevated track winds you through 1400 metres of loops, curves and hair-pin curves. Fancy a scenic gondola ride? The Dorfbahn Königsleiten is free for our guests in summer. From the top, the natural scenery is yours to explore at will. There is also a zipline for thrill-seekers.
Another popular excursion is the Schlegeis reservoir with its impressive 131 metre dam wall, which lies nestled among several three thousand metre high peaks. Situated in the rear Zillertal, the Zillertal Alps High Mountain Nature Parks is well worth a visit. This tranquil protected area lets you connect with nature far away from the distractions of everyday life.
